Awarehouse in Los Angeles at AI on The Lot

Last week, we left the studio.
Three days at AI on The Lot, hosted at Amazon MGM Studios in Culver City, it turned out to be one of those rare experiences that quietly shifts something…
For the first time, we got to meet in person so many of the people we’ve only ever known through screens. That was a big highlight. As well as people we encountered for the very first time. If you met us, we mean YOU! 🌟
There’s something that happens when you surround yourself with others moving in the same direction with an energy that matches your own. If we had to find a word for it, we’d call it momentum. And momentum is pretty darn powerful!
We walked the lot. We stood on Amazon’s massive LED stage where Moses (featuring Ben Kingsley) was filmed. We listened to the film’s director Jon Erwin talk about how they worked with the same tools we use every day, alongside real actors, to produce something that’s heading to a global audience.
We heard from director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, The Creator) on how he thinks about this technology and what it opens up for storytelling. And from Albert Chang at Amazon MGM Studios on where one of the world’s biggest studios stands on all of this.
We heard from and got to meet (and cheer with!) people behind the services that play a big part at our studio; Dreamina AI, Luma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Magnific and more. You guys are no longer faceless to us.
Coming back to our own studio, we feel more grounded in the work than ever. The projects we have ahead of us feel sharper, more alive.
A genuine thank you to AI on the Lot for putting this together and for creating a space where creative communities can grow. That part matters as much as anything else.
More to come soon. 🎬🏹
